Jerry and Jessica Seinfeld Light up the Empire State Building (Photos)
On his classic show, Jerry Seinfeld and his friends were notorious for their self-centered ways. (In the series finale, they even ended up in jail for standing around while a man was being mugged.) Fortunately, in Jerry’s case, life definitely does not imitate art. He and wife Jessica are devoted to helping families in need through Jessica’s charity, Baby Buggy.
The charity, which works with organizations in six cities to distribute new and gently used baby items to thousands of families, also offers social service assistance to help parents (many of them single moms) become more self-sufficient. To commemorate Baby Buggy’s 10th anniversary this year, the Empire State Building was lit in the charity’s signature colors of blue and green last night – with the Seinfelds as guests of honor.

Jerry and Jessica Seinfeld Encourage Their Kids To Be Weird
Jerry Seinfeld definitely hasn’t been the best looking male in People magazine or the hottest on the red carpet, but what him and his wife, Jessica, are teaching their children, Shepherd, 6, Julian, 8, and Sascha, 10, is that it’s okay to be different!
While on the Anderson show together this Friday (Sept. 23), Jessica says Jerry is “actually quiet at home,” adding that even though he’s “funny at the right times” and “funny at wrong times,” the former Seinfeld star is “a regular person.”
“I think it’s fun to be funny and I push it on the kids, too,” says Jerry, who admits that he tells his children, “Don’t be embarrassed. When you’re acting silly, it feels weird, but this is what makes life more fun.”
Jerry Seinfeld On Fatherhood
Though his Seinfeld character is nowhere near the type to settle down and start a family, the real Jerry Seinfeld seems to be the exact opposite. The 56-year-old father of three was seen dropping off his two sons, Julian, 7, and Shepherd, 5, off at their NYC school on Thursday, and looking quite proud throughout the entire ordeal. So what does Jerry have to say about his full-time role as a father?
In an earlier interview with Parade Magazine, Seinfeld dishes about his love for his family stating, “”If I were younger, I’d have six kids by now. I love it. I love having a family and kids and all the madness. There is no aspect of it I don’t like. Even when it’s horrible, I love it. I didn’t realize how tired of single life I was and how ready I was for married life.”
Six kids? That’s a whole lot of madness Jerry, but we must admit we love how much of a hands-on dad he is! Too bad having more children isn’t in the cards for him and his wife, because they clearly love being parents!
Jerry Seinfeld Takes His Kids To Mets Game
The New York Mets ended their season yesterday against the Washington Nationals with a celebrity dad to send them off. Jerry Seinfeld and his eldest two children, Sascha and Julian attended the game in decked out Mets attire. His youngest son, Sheperd, must have stayed home with mom Jessica.

Today is September 8th, 2010, and it is also the celebration of the Jewish Holiday, Rosh Hashanah. Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish New Year, and officially begins tonight at sundown, because that is when the first night of the Jewish calendar starts.
Rosh Hashanah is one of the biggest Jewish holidays for 2010, and there will be plenty of feasts going on across the world this evening.
There are several celeb parents who are Jewish, and we wonder how they’ll be celebrating tonight.
Sarah Jessica Parker, mom to son James and twin daughters Marion and Tabitha, is married to Matthew Broderick and lives in New York. Will there be a Rosh Hashanah feast in their brownstone tonight?

Gwen Stefani: Today she is the picture of a multi-tasking mommy juggling her careers as singer/songwriter and a successful fashion designer while raising uber-tots Kingston and Zuma. Prior to her No Doubt days, she served up cones and blizzards at Dairy Queen in California.
Brad Pitt: He may be half of one of today’s most fabulous super-couples, but this leading man got his start in a chicken suit. Yep while waiting for his big break, Brad sported a chicken costume for El Pollo Loco. He also earned that physique by delivering refrigerators in Los Angeles before he hit it big in Thelma & Louise.
