Sarah Jessica Parker is planning on taking her seven-year-old son, James Wilke Broderick, to see Shrek Forever After Sex and the City 2 when it opens next week. And no, not out of desperation because she couldn’t find a sitter.
The mom of three admits that she is excited to show James her work, and that he is at an age where his curiousity to see her films is such that she’s better off bringing him than expaining why she can’t. “If I can manage to take him out for popcorn for two certain moments, I think he’s ready for it,” Parker said. “I wouldn’t say this movie is for seven year olds, but we’ll find a way of figuring it out.”
I can understand her point. There is a giant billboard promoting the movie literally two blocks from her home in the West Village. Surely he’s seen it. Continue reading »
If you happen to have Sarah Jessica Parker for a mother, trendy footwear isn’t just an option. It’s your birthright.
So it should come as no surprise that city kid James Wilke Broderick, 7, is rocking some pretty cool footwear. He is spotted here on his way home from school wearing Tsukihoshi sneakers in navy and red. The shoes are lightweight, come in a range of colors and retail for just under $50 at Amazon. Best of all, they are machine washable. I doubt that is true of many of the shoes sitting in the bottom of his mother’s closet!

Coming back to work after having twins can be tough, just ask Matthew Broderick. After spending the last few months with his twin daughters, Matthew Broderick had a trial by fire on stage Monday and fell flat on his face.
