Goodbye, “Jenny from the Block.” Hello, “Jenny that plays with blocks.”
In an interview for the new September issue of Glamour Magazine, new mother of two Jennifer Lopez talks candidly about her career, her positive attitude, and her adorable two-year-old twins Max and Emme. Although the star has lived most of her life in the limelight, she seems to be shinning her brightest at her most important role yet, being a mother. In addition to being strict with her little ones, Jennifer explains the values and lessons she hopes to teach her two twins as they grow.
Among the most admirable of the lessons is the example she hopes to set for her son, Max. ”I want to teach respect and appreciation of women by being a great woman,” the 41-year-old mother explains. With such a simple but wise approach to parenting, I think she’s off to a great start!

Tom Cruise and Jennifer Lopez got down with their bad selves at last night’s MTV Movie Awards, performing a dance number to a song by Ludacris. The audience loved it, but did their kids? Will Emme, Max and Suri think this is cool or totally embarrassing some time in the near, playground gossiping future?
I’m going to say they probably think it’s cool. Tom, who usually comes off as a pretty serious guy when it comes to Scientology-related Xenu-ness, appears to be a fun-loving goofball with the reprise of his character from Tropic of Thunder, Les Grossman. Katie Holmes, shown in a cut away shot smiling and clapping, clearly enjoyed the number J. Lo, as always, looked amazing.

Ever since the journal Pediatrics announced last week that breastfeeding can save lives and money, I’ve been feeling a little twitchy. Yes, in an ideal world, we’d all breastfeed. But plenty of women don’t have that option. Some have to return to working 12-hours-a-day soon after giving birth. Many workplaces offer nowhere to pump except a shared public bathroom. Other women may have to forgo breastfeeding for health reasons. Have you had recurring, back-to-back bouts of mastitis, or thrush which resists medication? Plus some moms are themselves taking necessary medication that would trickle down, dangerously, to their breast milk.
In support of these women—and others who for personal reasons have turned to the bottle—I planned to do a post on Hollywood moms who’ve formula-fed. Yet guess what I found?
Looks like Jennifer Lopez, aka J.Lo, Jenny From The Block, has taken on yet another identity. A new song, titled ‘Fresh Out Of The Oven,’ was released on the web today and credited to an artist named “Lola.” But there’s no disguising the singer’s identity – it sounds exactly like Lopez. It’s been a couple of years since J-Lo was in “Bordertown” and “El Cantante,” but the 39-year-old singer-actress is back on a film set, working on “The Back-Up Plan.” And she says that she loves having twins Max and Emme on the set with her.
