Neil Patrick Harris Reveals Whose Sperm Was Used In Twins With David Burtka.
Many celebrity parents are angling for a birth via surrogacy when all other options do not pan out. And with surrogacy, there is always the wonder of who the real father is when pertaining to gay men. Neil Patrick Harris welcomed fraternal twins with David Burtka earlier this year and recently revealed whose sperm was used in the process.
Eric Braeden responds to Neil Patrick Harris' Twitter tiff
Actor Eric Braeden was not pleased when How I Met Your Mother star and new dad Neil Patrick Harris bashed him via Twitter for passing on a cameo appearance on the show. The Young and the Restless star, who has been acting longer than NPH has been alive, decided to teach the Twitter-happy Harris a lesson.
Braeden states:
“I really don’t know who that fellow is. He’s a guy who stars in that series. It’s very unfortunate. First of all, I came back from hip surgery. I was off for three weeks. I’ve doubled my work, 30 to 50 pages a day for me, alone. Everyone knows that I’m exhausted. I was not about to appear on a show for two lines, because that’s what it amounted to.
Ray Wise Cast In 'How I Met Your Mother.'
Ray Wise certainly knows when to swoop in and take a role. Just two weeks ago, the actor was added to the cast the X-Men prequel. Now, Wise will replace Eric Braeden as Robin’s Dad in How I Met Your Mother.
Braeden, who previously played Robin Scherbatsky Sr. in a 2008 episode, apparently wasn’t pleased with the material for his second go around. And Neil Patrick Harris let him have it via Twitter.
“Eric Braeden is a D-Bag,” writes Harris on Dec. 17. “The actor, (Robin’s dad) agreed to a cameo, then last night bailed, saying the part wasn’t ‘substantial’ enough.”
Should someone tell Eric Braeden about the power of Twitter? Maybe his agent should remind him that it is not a good idea to insult a powerful celebrity and star of a hit TV series with over a million Twitter followers!

Alyson Hannigan (Above) Says NPH Will Be a Great Dad
According to co-star Alyson Hannigan, Neil Patrick Harris will be a wonderful father. The two actors star alongside one another in CBS’ How I Met Your Mother.
“He’s definitely a kid at heart and I think that really helps,” she says. “He can get into the kids’ energy easily. He’s fantastic with my daughter, and she just loves him.”
Hannigan, 36, who has a 19-month-old daughter, Satyana, with her husband Alexis Denisof, says her costar and his partner David Burtka will be “fantastic fathers” to their twins, Gideon Scott and Harper Grace, and thinks Harris’s creativity will go a long way.
It’s a boy and a girl for Neil Patrick Harris.
When their twins arrive via a surrogate later this fall, Neil Patrick Harris and his longtime partner David Burtka will become parents to a son and a daughter an insider tells US Weekly.
Harris kept the babies’ genders a secret when he announced they were expecting over the weekend. The How I Met Your Mother made the announcement over Twitter writing, “So get this: David and I are expecting twins this fall. We’re super excited/nervous/thrilled.”
Alyson Hannigan and her daughter, Satyana Marie Denisof, were spotted out for a stroll in Venice, California yesterday. Satyana turned 1 this spring and is this kid cute or what? That bright red hair and those huge eyes are just to die for.
And it’s good that Hannigan is a pro at the ‘being a mom’ thing, since Lily, her character on How I Met Your Mother will likely be in the family way next season. Maybe Satyana can give Lily and Marshall’s baby a few pointers. (Tip#1: Stay away from Barney.)
