A dutiful wife visits her troubled husband in the facility where he’s temporarily housed and it makes the news. No, I’m not talking about Tiger Wood’s visit by wife Elin Nordegren. Balloon hoaxer Richard Heene was visited by his wife Mayumi for the first time in jail over the weekend.
Things are not looking good for “Balloon Boy’s” parents, Richard and Mayumi Heene. The couple will voluntarily turn themselves in to authorities if they are charged with a felony for falsely claiming their son Falcon, 6, was carried away in their homemade flying saucer last week. Investigators believe the family may have had an accomplice. As well, Social Services is trying to determine as to whether all three of their sons are safe in the home.
It’s looking more and more like the Balloon Boy incident was a hoax. Despite both the sheriff’s and the father’s earlier insistence that accusations were off-base, that same sheriff now says criminal charges are likely to be filed in the incident. Earlier Richard Heene, the father of the boy who was thought to have been set adrift in a homemade balloon, teased media camped outside his home saying he had a “big announcement” coming up.
Shut the front door. Who are these people? The Heene family and their now famous “Balloon Boy” were guests on Larry King and boy, did Falcon burst their bubble.

Falcon Heene, a six-year-old boy in Colorado, crawled into an experimental aircraft constructed by his parents and floated away – it was witnessed by his sibling. The craft is being tracked by the Denver International Airport on radar and was last seen at 7,000 feet and moving around 30 mph.
