I’ve never heard of Lindex (not to be confused with Windex) until I first saw these new pictures of Gwyneth Paltrow in their ad campaign, but it looks like they are the Swedish version of Ikea fashion. Very budget Anne Taylor. Very affordable European.

Dang, those are some split ends there!
Celebrity moms Gwyneth Paltrow and Beyonce are going on a momcation together! The two are packing up their bags (and bringing their children) to Italy for an ultra luxurious yoga-based retreat.
Ugh. For the first time ever I am completely jealous of them.
Beyonce will be brining her baby Blue Ivy and Gwyneth will have her kids Apple and Moses tag along for the trip where they will plan on doing daily yoga sessions at a private five-star villa in Tuscany. Continue reading »
One of my favorites of the night.
There were no wacky Bjork swan dresses this year.
In fact, the biggest fashion risk any women took this year may have been Jennifer Lopez’ low plunging dress, that some say ended in a wardrobe malfunction.
Whatever. She looked hot as hell. In fact, everyone looked hot. While there were a few interesting choices (like Gwyneth Paltrow’s red carpet cape) they weren’t exactly what I’d call a fashion miss. Just… interesting. And, I mean, she’s Gwyneth Paltrow. Love her or hate her, you’ve got to admit she is smoking hot and could rock a barrel with suspenders.
All the celeb mamas looked amazing. From Michelle Williams to Tina Fey, they had it going on. Basically, if you have pushed a human being from your loins and can still look amazing in couture, you rock.
Having birthed two children of my own, I know how difficult it can be to get back into shape.
So I doff my cap to these seven lovely ladies who rocked the red carpet at the Academy Awards.

Gwyneth Paltrow on her way to the Oscars
While we might never have another repeat of Bjork’s swan dress from the 2001 Oscars, we’ll always have a certain few who will try what they can to win some front page space on next week’s People magazine. Cue Gwyneth Paltrow.
Apple and Moses’ mom tweeted a picture of herself on her way to the Oscars looking pretty and polished. It’s just her Tom Ford cape/lamp shade dress that we’re not so sure about. It’s one of those types of dresses that you either love or you loathe.
Tell us, do you think Gwyneth is going to end up on the best dressed or worst dressed list this year? Are you feeling the cape?
She makes it look so easy.
As we all know, Gisele Bundchen’s organic stepsister Gwyneth Paltrow is a pretty busy woman with her mom blog, her movie making, and telling us poor minions how to eat and raise our kids since we do that so inadequately ourselves. But it looks in between her $400 colon cleanses (gooping is expensive, ok?) and stepping on feminist toes with her own perfectly manicured ones, she’s also hawking gas station-quality frozen food to the unfortunate people of Austria.
Haven’t they gone through enough?

Victoria Beckham is tired, y’all. And well she should be. She’s mom to 4 children, the last, Harper, who she seemingly birthed, dropped the four pounds she gained and then hit the red carpet in stilettos and Versace the next day.
I’d be tired too, girlfriend.
But it was what Beckham said to The Mirror that had the Gwyneth Paltrow alarm bells going off in my head.
Millions of women go through divorces without partying and doing drugs with their daughters.
There seems to be two kinds of celeb moms making news these days.
There is the rash of celebrity mamas saddled up on their high horses and running roughshod over the plebian moms across the nation such as myself, and then there are the other mamas, clubbing with kids and acting younger than their children..
The former group of prententious parents are constantly spouting off about their superior skills and their precocious progeny with transparent humble brags designed to make the rest of us feel like Joan Crawford in Mommie Dearest, while the latter group are taking parenthood to extremes that send eyebrows skyward.
Now look, I’m not trying to be a celeb hating douchebag, because I’m really not! I am a bit of an idiot savant about all things celebrity. Go ahead, quiz me! Give me quotes and ask which celeb said it. Ask me who dated who ten years ago and I’m all over it! I retain celebrity gossip like Warren Buffet retains Benjamin Franklins. I’m a sucker for this stuff.
But, now that I’m a mama, the celeb moms who are either constantly yammering about how much weight they lost two weeks after giving birth, how brilliant their children are or how UH-mazing parenting is drive me nuts! I actually prefer the moms behaving badly (like Courtney Love) to the supercilious likes of Gisele and Gwyneth.
Come on gals! Get over yourselves and, in the process, cut the rest of us some slack. You’re beautiful and make millions, can’t you stop the LIFE-IS-SO-AMAZING show for two seconds and be real? I think my Strollerderby colleague Carolyn Castiglia said it best in her article, Go Away Gwyneth. You’re Ruining Everything For Everybody. I second that emotion for Gisele.
