David Cassidy’s main contribution to last night’s Celebrity Apprentice was getting his daughter, Katie Cassidy, to show up at the pizza shop and pay $1500 for a slice of pizza. Other than that, he was sort of a crybaby.

The Roommate is number one at the box office and Justin Bieber spoofed the The Roommate on Saturday Night Live this weekend. Can this movie get any hotter?
The psycho thriller was number one at the box office with a $15 million debut this weekend. The movie weekend was slow because of the Super Bowl keeping fans away from movie theaters.
But even hotter than being number 1 at the box office was the SNL digital short on Saturday Night Live this weekend. SNL spoofed The Roommate in a parody starring Justin Bieber and Andy Samberg. The short but hilarious spoof of the teen movie features Andy Samberg to going totally “postal” over Justin Bieber! Continue reading »
Jessica Szohr Is Aaron Rodgers' Girlfriend.
Aaron Rodgers, quarterback on the Green Bay Packers, will be playing the most important game of his life tonight in the Super Bowl. And most definitely, girlfriend Jessica Szohr will be in the stands cheering him on!
The Gossip Girl actress was busy this weekend catching passes at the Celebrity Beach Bowl. She was snagging passes from former NFL QB and reality TV star Jesse Palmer and playing defense aginst supermodel Marissa Miller in the flag football “Beach Bowl” 2011, broadcast on DirecTV on the 101.
Aaron’s Green Bay Packers will play the Pittsburgh Steelers for the Lombardi Trophy on Sunday.
The Roommate starring Minka Kelly and Leighton Meester opens today. I predict the psychological thriller about a deranged college freshman who becomes obsessed with her new roommate will be a huge hit!
Both of my teen daughters are dying to see The Roommate and I’m taking a car load of middle-school girls to the film tonight. I’ll report back this weekend with a parent review.
Minka Kelly plays a college student in The Roommate. Kelly, who Esquire magazine calls the “Sexiest Woman Alive,” is a familiar face as one of the stars from the fabulous Friday Night Lights. Kelly’s co-star in The Roommate is Leighton Meester, star of Gossip Girl and recently starred in Country Strong.
Aly Michalk is also in The Roommate. Michalk is the star of the CW’s Hellcats and a Disney Channel alum. To top it off, Cam Gigandet, famous (in teen circles) for his role as evil surfer Kevin Volchok in FOX TV series The O.C. plays Minka Kelly’s boyfriend. It’s a dream team cast for the teen and college audience, so I don’t see how this movie can lose. Continue reading »

Country Strong is getting negative reviews but is it because the movie is about a Country Music star?
If the story was about a pop or rock star, would critics be as harsh?
For example, celeb blogger PerezHilton writes that Gwyneth Bombs at the Box Office with Country Strong.
“Her movie, Country Strong, was released nationwide and opened up in sixth place with $7.3 million.The film only cost $12.5 million to make and was targeted mostly to the heartland states.”
Did the fact that the movie featured COUNTRY music turn away some fans or was the film really bad?
Gwyneth Paltrow’s new film Country Strong is about a fallen country superstar and her road to redemption.
Country Strong follows the comeback of a country music queen, played by Gwyneth Paltrow, who gets involved with a rising young singer-songwriter (Garrett Hedlund) as they embark on a career resurrection tour helmed by her husband/manager (Tim McGraw) and featuring a beauty-queen-turned-singer (Leighton Meester).
Country Strong costars real life country star Tim McGraw, along with Garrett Hedlund and Leighton Meester. The film was produced by Tobey Maguire and his partner Jenno Topping.
Dustin Rowles over at the movie blog Pajiba, had some choice words about Country Strong. It’s safe to say that Rowles didn’t like the film.
Take all the preconceptions you have about how bad Gwyneth Paltrow’s Country Strong is and multiply them by 6. Now divide them by 4, multiply them by π, add 100, subtract 2 and divide by 4. Now, write that number down on a piece of glossy resume paper. Take that piece of paper, lift it up to your lips, and slice it deeply into the corners of your mouth. Now, take a bottle of Tabasco sauce and break it open by smashing it into your jaw. Afterwards, gnaw your arm off at the elbow with the jagged remains of your teeth.
How bad did that hurt?
That’s how bad Country Strong is.

Leighton Meester plays a selfish brat on Gossip Girl, but in real life the actress is independent, grounded and not at all like the Blair Waldorf. The young actress says love is an important part of her life. Leighton Meester is on the cover of the most recent Seventeen magazine and dished with the magazine about her love life.
