Elton John and David Furnish are parents, this is old news. What is disturbing is that there are many haters on the Internet who are saying very mean and vile things about the celebrity singer and his partner.
When the news first broke, there was some backlash. For example, some grocery stores censored pictures of Elton with his baby from their news-stands as not suitable for families.
But what is disturbing is that the haters continue to have a consistent and vocal presence about Elton John’s adoption and about gay adoption in general! According to the Huffington Post, one newspaper published the following opinion about Elton John’s adoption

Cynthia Nixon will be honored by the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation with its Vito Russo Award on March 13 in New York. The award is presented to an openly gay media professional who has helped promote equal rights.
Nixon, who has two children, has been in a relationship with activist Christine Marinoni since 2003. The Sex and the City actress told New York magazine in 2006: ”I never felt like there was an unconscious part of me around that woke up or that came out of the closet; there wasn’t a struggle, there wasn’t an attempt to suppress. I met this woman, I fell in love with her, and I’m a public figure.”

Gay performer and cohost of Australia’s version of “Dancing With the Stars” Todd McKenney has asked his cohost, Sonia Kruger, to have his baby. “She doesn’t have any kids of her own,” Todd says. “I am desperate to have another.” The 44-year-old has a 2-year-old daughter that he fathered with a friend.
