It's a dog's life for the First Lady
I dunno. You ask me whom I’d want to be in a next life, I might choose a major historical figure, a great author or a wealthy philanthropist. Maybe I’d want to be a Kardashian or a Simpson, so I could see whether fame is all it’s cracked up to be. I might even choose to be one of my own kids. See how well they turned out – or how badly I screwed them up.
Or, if I had to choose a nonhuman form, I’d choose something like a majestic bald eagle, a graceful, fun-loving dolphin or a mighty gorilla bonding with its clan in the darkest jungle.
Not so Michelle Obama.

The jokes do right themselves, don’t they?
First Lady Michelle Obama has been on a real mission in getting our children to put down their chicken mcnuggets for a meal of goji berries and kombucha instead in an effort to trim the baby fat that America’s children can’t seem to lose.
Mrs. Obama continued her crusade by allowing hundreds of hungry children (not really) to gather on the White House lawn for two minutes of rigorous exercise that didn’t involve a Wii device or a remote control.
Chaos shortly ensued after the kids decided jumping jacks just took up too much coordinated effort and went for Mrs. Obama instead, almost knocking her over before the Secret Service swooped her out to a nearby table of lobster, caviar and champagne funded by tax payers while the children looked on in despair.

Michelle Obama tops Forbes magazine's Most Powerful Women list
Move over, Oprah, First Lady Michelle Obama has moved up the Forbes magazine World’s 100 Most Powerful Women list, taking over the top spot.
Michelle Obama moved up 40 places to become Forbes’ most powerful woman, replacing German leader Angela Merkel, who held the post for four years.
Hillary Clinton landed in fifth place this year (up from number 36 last year), while Oprah Winfrey came in third on the list. Continue reading »
Talk about an odd couple. First Lady Michelle Obama is teaming up with Disney Channel star and teen heartthrob Nick Jonas in her most recent effort to encourage Americans to be healthy and fit.
Obama and Jonas are working together to launch “Disney Magic of Healthy Living” to communicate the importance of nutrition and a healthy overall lifestyle. This new campaign is Obama’s second in this area; she also leads her own campaign, Let’s Move.
“I am thrilled to join Disney’s ‘Magic of Healthy Living’ effort and support the work these young people are doing to reach out to their peers and communicate this powerful message,” Mrs. Obama said in a recent press release. “I hope through programs like the ‘Magic of Healthy Living,’ young people are inspired to take control of their own health, fitness and nutrition and engage their families, schools and communities to do the same.” Continue reading »

This First Lady really seems to have it together, from her level-headed approach to balancing work and motherhood to her sophisticated yet not over-the-top fashion choices.
