Lindsay Lohan’s amazing mother has taken it upon herself to shop around a post-rehab interview to capitilize on her daughter’s misfortunes. Might as well strike while the iron is hot! Money opportunities don’t get past this woman!
The asking price for this interview is in the five figures! Eh, I kind of would expect more. Maybe people have grown tired of Lindsay’s ways? Dina is trying to set up a deal that would allow video cameras to follow her as she visits Lindsay at the Better Ford Center this weekend. Sick.
Lindsay Lohan considering entering Betty Ford Clinic
Fifth time’s the charm? Everyone close to Lindsay Lohan is hoping so. The substance-abusing actress is reportedly deciding which rehab facility to attend to help her get clean (or make the appearance that she’s trying?) and the famous Betty Ford Clinic is in the running. At least one inside source seems to believe that despite time in jail, multiple stints in rehab and a recent failed drug test, that Lohan still doesn’t understand how serious her addiction is. For the first time since being released from jail and rehab, actress Lindsay Lohan has reunited with her family in New York.
For the past few days, Lohan has been flying back and forth from LA to NYC to share time with her family and prepare for tonight’s VMA appearance.
Word has it Lindsay Lohan is trying to decide where to take her post-rehabbed self to plead her case to the public — and she’s considering Oprah’s couch. A source close to Lohan confirmed that the actress is currently weighing her options: “Several entities are being considered, and no decision has been made and won’t be for awhile.” If Lohan chooses Oprah, she better be ready to tell it like it is. Oprah doesn’t like liars. Remember her tearing into James Frey after he admitted fabricating parts of (okay, maybe the majority of?) Well it looks like her recent jail and subsequent rehab stint will be good for something. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Lindsay Lohan has been offered $1 Million dollars by OK Magazine for her first post jail interview.
This will no doubt come as good news for her mother, Dina Lohan, who is eager to get her cash cow daughter, home. Continue reading »
Career in shambles, personal life a wreck, addicted to prescription pills and alcohol, appearing in court with the F-word written on her fingernail and sentenced to jail time—What happened to Lindsay Lohan?
I believe in personal accountability and that one must be held responsible for their own actions. But every effect has a cause. Lindsay, when you take a look at everything weighing on her life, may not have been able to avoid her situation. Let’s a take a look at some contributing factors:
Family: Michael Lohan has had substance abuse problems and suffered from addictions. Genetics could play a contributing cause in Lindsay’s struggle with drugs and alcohol. But beyond that, she certainly suffers emotional problems caused by his run-ins with the law, prison sentence, attempts to get a portion of her money, and divorce from her mother. Her song Confessions of a Broken Heart, out in 2005, was about her estrangement from him and included lyrics like “Daughter to father / I don’t know you, but I still want to,” and a music video that shows her crying and smashing things. He has used her problems to capitulate his own fame, doing countless interviews and trying to cash in on reality TV.
No parent wants their child to go to jail, but then again no parent wants their child to commit a behavior that warrants lock up. Sometimes, it is in their child’s best interest to be put behind bars so that they stop hurting themselves.
Such is the case of Lindsay Lohan. I could list off all the ways she has done harm to herself but the Internet only has so much bandwith and I only have so much time. And it’s been going on for years. She is back in court today, SCRAM bracelet and all, to face a probation violation hearing connected to her infamous three-year drug and alcohol case. If the judge rules she hasn’t complied with the terms, she will be taken in to custody on the spot.
At this point, jail would probably help her-anything would hep her. So you would think dad Michael Lohan would want her to serve a sentence in hopes that it knocks some sense into her. But of course not. That would show good parenting.
