Being married to one of People’s Sexiest Man Alive, Hugh Jackman, can be quite daunting. But for Deborra-Lee Furnee, she seems to have the job under control. This celebrity mom recently opened up to Page Six Magazine on raising a family in the public eye and how they came to the decision of adoption.
“Hugh and I were always going to adopt,” Deborra, mom to Oscar and Ava, says. “We were going to have one [child], adopt another. When we didn’t have one, we adopted two. I can’t bear to think of a child not being cared for. I tell my own children it was their destiny to come to us.”
And while Furness has the job of being married to Jackman under control, sometimes it can get pretty crazy! ”I’ve been almost pummeled as people try to get to him,” she reveals. “Literally, they will push you out of the way.”
Is there anything Hugh Jackman, father of two, isn’t good at? The award-winning actor and People magazine’s 2008 “Sexiest Man Alive” also proved he’s a talented bowler when he attended a birthday party for one of his children’s friends at Lucky Strike Lanes in New York City recently. Hugh pumped up for the last Wolverine movie and it looks like he didn’t let those arms go to waste. I’m sure they’re great for — lifting his kids Ava, 5, and Oscar, 10. Well, what did you think I was going to say?
Hugh Jackman’s wife Deborra-Lee Furness and their son Oscar were seen out in the snow on Saturday in the East Village area of New York City. On the previous night, the Jackmans held a Christmas party at their apartment and my friend was lucky enough to attend!
