Did you tune in for the CMA Awards 2011 last night? I watched them, and although there were some less than stellar moments performance-wise, overall the Country Music Awards were pretty entertaining.
I enjoyed the fun opening of the show with Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley as co-hosts. Also, one of the best parts of watching any award show is seeing all of the great dresses on the red carpet!
A handful of celeb moms turned up at the CMA Awards 2011, including Faith Hill, Kimberly Williams Paisley, Nicole Kidman, and more.

Wow. We’re only about 20 minutes into the Country Music Awards and the show is already looking to be pretty promising!
Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley are this year’s hosts, and in their opening monologue, Carrie already managed to poke fun at the whole Justin Bieber baby scandal. First, they used Barbie and Ken dolls to give celeb parents Tim McGraw and Faith Hill a hard time, but then, the focus turned to making fun of other famous people.
Brad and Carrie starting singing a little ditty they wrote to the tune of Randy Travis’s “Forever and Ever Amen,” and Carrie belted out the line, “As long as Justin Bieber is not a conceiver!”
Martina McBride will don Lorena Sarbu at tonight's CMA's.
Country superstar and celebrity mom Martina McBride will walk the red carpet in a Lorena Sarbu couture design tonight, at the 45th Annual Country Music Awards.
Martina is nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year. The country chart-topper chose Lorena Sarbu’s black satin pants and keyhole top from the Pre-Fall 2011 collection for the big night.

Award shows always have a handful of wonderfully dressed celebrities. They are the lucky ones. They get put on the best dressed list. Then there is the other end of the spectrum – the worst dressed. These ill advised stars infiltrate each and every award show be it the Academy Awards, the Grammy’s, the Emmy’s or at this weekend’s Country Music Awards. It’s official! Blake Shelton has joined the ‘coaching panel’ of the new NBC reality singing show The Voice. NBC teamed up with hit-making reality show pioneers John de Mol, Mark Burnett and Warner Horizon Television to bring the show to America. The Voice of Holland is the name of Holland’s top-rated vocal talent discovery show. The grand prize winner of The Voice will receive $100,000 and a record deal. Continue reading »
When the Country Music Awards kicked off tonight, the audience was filled with the best stars country music has to offer with a few Hollywood A-listers thrown into the mix. During the first few minutes of the telecast viewers were graced by the gorgeous faces of Nicole Kidman, Katherine Heigl, and Gwyneth Paltrow who all turned out to celebrate country music’s biggest night.
Why were the A-List celebrity moms at the Country Music Awards?
It’s a nice change of pace to hear about a celebrity role model that doesn’t make me cringe. Carrie Underwood has become a role model to millions of young girls and is taking her role seriously. Continue reading »
