Jaime Pressly has just claimed the spot as the first celebrity mug shot of 2011. The My Name Is Earl actress was pulled over for committing a traffic violation and failed an accompanying sobriety test.
The only positive about this situation is that Pressly didn’t have her child in the car with her at the time. Pressly shares a son, Dezi James, 3, with Eric Calvo.
Beyonce’s new and first fragrance, Heat, has become a hot topic as of late, but not because of how nice (or not) it smells — do we even care how it smells? Probably not, but the commercial seems to be something we do care about.
The ad for Beyonce’s fragrance is everything you would expect it to be. It consists of about 60 seconds of Beyonce walking around, scantily clad in a red dress that seems to be slipping off her body inch by inch. It’s hot and sweaty and all things sexy, but is it too much?
By now, we all know Kate Middleton is engaged to Prince William (lucky her!). But who is Kate Middleton, the woman? We’ve got some fun facts about her you probably didn’t know!
1. Kate Middleton is a capricorn. She was born on January 9, 1982 in Berkshire, England, and is the oldest of three children.
2. She first attended a private boarding school called Marlborough College, then later the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. (She met Prince William here.)
3. Kate Middleton is about to be royalty, and although this will be a bit new for her, it’s not too far from where she comes from in terms of extravagance — her parents, Michael and Carole Middleton, are self-made millionaires! They run a mail order company called Party Pieces which sells children’s party toys.
4. She could probably beat you in a race. Kate Middleton is really good at field hockey and cross-country running.
If your sweetie took you on a helicopter ride across the Grand Canyon and then after the ride, he popped the question, would you say yes? Sounds pretty romantic to me! Well, that’s the way Chuck Liddell asked Heidi Northcott to marry him — and quite frankly, many fans think it’s about time! Although it does make me wonder why he wouldn’t up his romantic brownie points and ask Heidi to marry him while they were still up in the air… but that’s just me! Swoon.
Gasp! Two of Jon and Kate Gosselin’s six-year-olds have been expelled from their private Pennsylvania school, apparently due to behavioral problems like bullying and rage. It seems natural to point to Jon and Kate’s divorce as the reason why the Gosselin kids are acting out. I mean, that seems pretty obvious right? Maybe.
Or maybe, the Gosselin kids are being just that — kids. You can play the blame game or you can accept that these things happen in childhood, especially when there are clear family stresses. No, not every kid gets expelled from school. I’m happy to say I never did get expelled in my youth. But more important than blaming Jon and Kate’s parenting strategy or their divorce for that matter is acknowledging the Gosselin kids’ behavior and what it might mean for them. They already live in the shadows of their parents and the drama that surrounds them. Maybe in this situation, we need to focus on the kids.
Emma Thompson announced yesterday that she will be taking all next year to focus on herself, rather than her career.
