Having a child is a pretty big decision if not the biggest decision one will ever make in one’s life. And it’s not for everyone. Some people realize that being a parent is not their calling. Others just aren’t ready yet – maybe they still have things they want to do or they are just too young to become a mom or dad.
Instead of having a human child, many have a pet instead who they consider part of their family and treat them as if they were their offspring. Others get a pet to horn their care giving skills, a precursor to having a baby when they are more mature or ready.

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden have added a new member to their family and she’s just purr-fect!
Earlier today, Nicole announed on her website that the family had welcomed a new addition to their growing family – a kitty named Tabitha Jones Madden. The new addition joins the couple’s daughter Harlow, 2, and son Sparrow, 11 months.
Richie describes the arrival writing, “One dark and lonely night, I heard a little puss puss cry from outside.”
“At first, I thought it was Joel,” she continues. “”But to my surprise, there she was. A sad, and very hungry kitten.”
Maybe you’ve seen Jesse James’ dog CinnaBun wandering around Long Beach, CA. If you can bring him back to Jesse, it’s worth $5000 to you. I’m sure Jesse’s kids and wife Sandra Bullock would be pretty happy, too.
