The concept of birthdays have always seemed somewhat odd to me. The parents read the baby books, attend the baby classes, and, in one way or another, ultimately bring the baby into the world. The baby, on the other hand, screams, cries, and, in my case, resembles E.T. for the first 7 months of its life.
If the parents are the ones doing all of the work, shouldn’t they be the ones to get presents on their child’s birthday? Demi Lovato seems to think so.
Rather than spending her birthday ogling all of her new presents, the Disney star, who turned 18 yesterday, bought her parents a house! Now this girl has got the right idea.
Lovato reportedly told sources, “I just bought a house. For me to give [that] to my family on my birthday, that was the best present. It’s got pretty much everything you could possibly imagine in it. It’s the most beautiful, homey-feeling house. I love it.” So grown up!
“The pool has a water slide, which is really cool,” The Disney star adds. Well, not too grown up.
