Johnny Depp says his kids don't find Captain Jack amusing any longer.
Johnny Depp recently said that he only does silly expensive movies for the sake of his children, but what happens when his kids, Lily-Rose and Jack, get sick of one of his films?
“Captain Jack doesn’t do it for them anymore. They’re so used to him now. I have to make them laugh with new characters.
“Some of the characters I’ve done in the past were born literally out of playing Barbie with my daughter. And if a new character works, I think, ‘OK, I may put him in a drawer and use him again later.’ ”
Even if his kids aren’t amused by Captain Jack any longer, Depp likes to pull some jokes on other attentive children. ”Little kids like to hear Captain Jack. But what really freaks them out is when you go from Jack to Willy Wonka. Suddenly they’re like, ‘I’m not sure about this guy.’ ”

The actor, who is best known as Captain Jack Sparrow to many of our kids, is none too pleased that ex-girlfriend and celebrity mom Kate Moss plans to dish out the dirt about their relationship in her new memoir.

The highly anticipated sequel to the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise is finally here. Pirates of the Caribean 4: On Stranger Tides will be released on May 20, 2011. And if you can’t wait that long to see Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) doing what he does best, check out the brand new trailers, yes two, that have just been released.
The fourth film in the billion-dollar series follows Captain Jack Sparrow and his gang as they search for the fountain of youth before the dreaded Blackbeard finds it.

Superstar celeb dad Johnny Depp surprised the audience at Disney’s D23 Expo last weekend by sailing on to the stage in a replica of The Black Pearl, decked out as his legendary alter ego Captain Jack Sparrow. The purpose: announce the name of the latest installment of the Pirates series Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.
Honestly, I’m not real keen on the name, but they can do just about anything wrong at this point, as long as Depp is in the movie, it’s as good as gold.
As weird as it seems, Johnny Depp seems to be genuinely enthused to play Captain Jack Sparrow for the 4th time. For $64M, I guess JD should be pretty enthusiastic.
Still, it strikes me as kinda odd that Depp would be willing to do cheese-ball publicity stunts for the latest POTC movie — it doesn’t even open until 2011. He must just love doing children’s movies that much.
At this point, a pretty huge chunk of Johnny’s work is kid-friendly. Apparently, that’s one of the biggest reasons he continues to play Capt. Sparrow — because his son Jack, 5, loves the character.
So we all know that Johnny Depp is incredibly talented and very artsy, right? These just released, two-year-old, family photos show just how much fun and artsy he really is.

Oh Johnny Depp, could you get any dreamier? Not only is he a big tipper, but he also likes to show his appreciation to those who help him.
He recently got in to his Jack Sparrow character to brighten the spirits of the kids in Great Ormond Street Hospital. A source said, “Johnny was so friendly with all the children on the ward and they absolutely loved his pirate outfit. He spoke to lots of the youngsters and staff – and made their day by posing for pictures with them all.”
I know my kids love pirates so I can only imagine how awesome it was for those kids to see Jack Sparrow.
The Great Ormond Street Hospital is where he took his daughter when she had her health issues. He also donated $1.5 million to the hospital to say thank you for taking care of his family.
