Katherine Schwarzenegger seems to be making a name for herself outside of her parents, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and former NBC News Correspondent Maria Shriver. Although only twenty-years-old, the USC student has already written her first book that is expected to hit shelves next week.
Her book, titled “Rock What You’ve Got: Secrets to Loving Your Inner and Outer Beauty” aims at a prevalent issue amongst today’s tweens and teens: self-confidence. According to sources, Katherine was inspired to write the book after listening to her young cousins have a conversation about wanting to be thin and “sexy.” Like many teens, Katherine has also struggled with self-esteem- a battle that was understandably intensified by living in the public eye.
Though I have not yet read the book, the title alone makes me want to grab a copy and give it to every young woman in my family. I realize that means I am judging a book by its cover, but with an empowering title like that, who can help themselves?

Karrine Steffans is in the news today, as the author and former video vixen who was rumored to be pregnant with Bow Wow’s baby, was featured on an episode of Life After on TV One last night.
Karrine Steffans, who was seen in music videos for artists like Jay-Z and LL Cool J, wrote a tell-all book called “Confessions of a Video Vixen,” where she dished on the many flings she had with people in the entertainment industry, including Kool G Rap, Vin Diesel, Ja Rule, Irv Gotti, Shaq, Ice-T, Fred Durst, Dr. Dre, P-Diddy and Xzibit. TV presenter Melissa Rivers has a new book out called Red Carpet Ready: Secrets for Making the Most of Any Moment You’re in the Spotlight. Whew! Long title, I know! Melissa and her mom Joan Rivers are known for their fashion opinions on what the stars are wearing on the red carpet.
Kids are going to go ga ga over Lady Gaga’s new children’s project. She and rapper Grandmaster Melle Mel have collaborated to create music for a book called The Portal in the Park.
