The Kardashians Are A Bad Influence On Malia and Sasha Obama
First Lady Michelle Obama recently opened up to iVillage about raising her daughters, Malia, 13, and Sasha, 10, with sleepovers, chores, and keeping up with those Kardashians. Yes, the Kardashians.
“They’re terrific girls, they’re poised and they’re kind and they’re curious. And like any mother, I am just hoping that I don’t mess them up.”
While President Barack Obama feels watching Keeping Up with the Kardashians is not the best for his daughters, Michelle sees things in another light.
She says, ”Barack really thinks some of the Kardashians — when they watch that stuff — he doesn’t like that as much, but I sort of feel like if we’re talking about it, and I’m more concerned with how they take it in — what did you learn when you watched that. And if they’re learning the right lessons, like, that was crazy, then I’m like, okay.”
Video: Michelle Obama Almost Knocked Over By Hungry Children
The jokes do right themselves, don’t they?
First Lady Michelle Obama has been on a real mission in getting our children to put down their chicken mcnuggets for a meal of goji berries and kombucha instead in an effort to trim the baby fat that America’s children can’t seem to lose.
Mrs. Obama continued her crusade by allowing hundreds of hungry children (not really) to gather on the White House lawn for two minutes of rigorous exercise that didn’t involve a Wii device or a remote control.
Chaos shortly ensued after the kids decided jumping jacks just took up too much coordinated effort and went for Mrs. Obama instead, almost knocking her over before the Secret Service swooped her out to a nearby table of lobster, caviar and champagne funded by tax payers while the children looked on in despair.
Kidding!

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills: Kyle Richards Hangs Out with Obama! What Did She Wear?
You know what would be a challenge? Trying to figure out what to wear when meeting the President of the United States. And that is just the kind of fashion challenge that Kyle Richards of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was met with on Monday. She had the honor to go hob nob with the one and only Barack Obama.
Obama was doing some fund raising in Los Angeles at the House of Blues and Kyle and her hubby Mauricio Umansky attended the event and got to meet the President. Kyle’s husband tweeted, “Great conversation with @barackObama. I hear Michelle watches #Rhobh.” Yes. Michelle Obama apparently watches Real Housewives!
So what did Kyle wear to the big event? She wore a chic and conservative white silk top with a big black bow, an above the knee skirt and she finished it off with a Chanel handbag.
Check out pics of Kyle right here!
Dad-To-Be Nicolas Sarkozy And His Presidential Style (Photos)
He might be the President of France, but we’re sure he has the same jitters as any other dad-to-be. And when it comes to his Presidential style, let’s just say he can give our Barack Obama a good run for his money.
French President Nicolas Sarkozy was spotted on Thursday in New York without wife Carla Bruni, but with Hollywood actor Robert De Niro instead celebrating the 125th anniversary of the Statue of Liberty.
Now, President Sarkozy isn’t a celebrity figure that we usually follow, but we couldn’t help but notice that the man has a certain… something. Could it be his French charm or the way he playfully waves for the cameras (I mean, he did snag himself a Victoria’s Secret model, now didn’t he)? Continue reading »
The Obamas Decide On No More Children
Ever since President Barack Obama took office in 2008, all eyes have been on First Lady Michelle Obama and whether or not she will have another child. Well, call it a done deal because the Obamas have announced that they are not having anymore children.
On Good Morning America with Robin Roberts, the president opens up about fatherhood, the positiveness of being the leader of the good world during his daughters’ pre-teen years, and why they will never have a son.
“You know, you act as if this is a decision of mine. This really isn’t,” he tells Roberts. “As Michelle points out, I did not carry 10 pounds in my belly.
“I think Michelle’s general view is, we’re done.”
Perhaps if he is elected for another term, they may reconsider? It’s been decades since we’ve had a pregnant First Lady in office.
Favorite ‘Oprah’ Moments: The Obamas Visit Oprah [Video]
One of my favorite moments on the Oprah Winfrey show—of MANY Oprah moments—was when President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama dished with Oprah, just one day after the news that Bin Laden was killed. It was a huge moment in President Obama’s Presidency and part of this moment was shared with the nation via Oprah Winfrey.
It was on that Oprah episode that President Obama announced he’d be running for a second term in 2012. Continue reading »
Michelle Obama To Write Book About White House Garden
First Lady Michelle Obama has always been an advocate for healthy living and in spirit of that stance she will be writing a book about her White House garden.
Mrs. Obama has inked a deal with Crown Publishing Group, where she will write a book about the kitchen garden she started at the White House and her efforts to champion healthy habits for Americans.
The Christian Science Monitor says:
“The as yet untitled book will be published in April 2012. It is expected to include an explanation from Mrs. Obama as to what inspired her to plant the first edible garden on the White House’s South Lawn since Eleanor Roosevelt’s World War II era “victory garden.” She will also share some of her family’s favorite healthy recipes, said Crown, a unit of Random House publishers.
