Hugh Jackman was spotted giving daughter Ava a ride home from school yesterday in New York. Now usually, when Hugh Jackman is in a photograph, I don’t tend to notice much else. But this time, something grabbed my eye.
Check out Ava’s hair. It’s a pretty color, and she’s got that natural wave going on, and it doesn’t look straggly or fly-away or shaggy. In fact, it looks perfect. Sigh. It’s a sad fact of life, but it’s unavoidable: great hair really is wasted on the young.

Thought there was nothing left to say (until more grisly details are released) about Sandra Bullock and Jesse James? You’re wrong. The littlest member of the James crew, Jesse’s daughter Sunny, made her own news this morning. Simply by stepping out in a pair of striped tights, she’s placed herself squarely on the list of young celeb-kid fashionistas. And we’d like to issue her a warm welcome.
Winter is on the wane, which means that you only have about ten more seconds to copy this look for your little ones. So get cracking! Because striped tights are today’s go-to accessory for the celeb tots (and wannabe-celeb tots, and tots of celeb-obsessed mums) of the moment.

Not too many trends seem to never go out of style — but pigtails on little girls is certainly one of them. (On adults, well, that’s debatable.) The term “pigtails” dates back centuries and the wearing of them symbolized different things in various cultures — like whether or not a young woman was single or already spoken for. These days, they’re just good plain fun and easy for busy moms. And if pigtails are modern enough for her royalty Suri Cruise — she of the $850 handbag and apparent lover of pigtails — then I suppose they’re good enough for the kids of mere mortals. But Suri isn’t the only one. Look what other celebrity offspring are keeping pigtails hip.
