Victoria Beckham spends $30 on her kids’ clothing? Who would have thought?
Whenever I buy clothes and shoes for my kids, I try my best not to spend a lot of money, mostly for obvious reasons: at 4 and 2, they are still growing and only wear most of their shoes for a few months at a time. Plus, they are kids – after an entire day playing in the backyard or in the park, most of their socks or flip flops get either misplaced or their favorite Toy Story shirts get filthy. So what’s the point in spending a lot of money?
Well, it looks like a lot of celebrity parents agree with this theory as not everyone goes out to spend $500 on a pair of custom-made Louis Vuitton loafers for their 2-year-old (Kourtney Kardashian) or put in an order for baby Christian Loubs for their newborn (this side eye is for you, Beyonce). Celebrities such as Kendra Wilkinson, Sarah Jessica Parker and even Victoria Beckham are very careful with the money they spend on their children’s clothes while they try to raise them in the most normal environment possible.
Heck even Madonna – who is worth a few gazillions and is notoriously cheap as we all know – doesn’t even splurge on her kids clothes. Her adopted son David has even been seen wearing some of older brother Rocco’s hand-me-downs.

Posh duo: Victoria and Harper
There’s nothing cuter than a mother daughter duo who step out dressing alike, right? Well, it seems like that’s what celebrity moms love to do as many of them try to follow the same fashion beat as their younger look-alike daughters.
From Heidi Klum to daughter Lou or Sarah Jessica Parker and her twins, there’s no denying that these little tykes have been spending some time in their mother’s closets and taking notes on their fashion choices, too. It even seems that while older sister Shiloh might be going down the tomboy route, little sis Vivienne has inherited her mother’s love for the color red by wearing ruby red slippers and bright red lipstick everywhere she goes.

Oh, boy.
Whenever I went out with my folks, there was always something that irked my about the way they dressed (my dad’s suspenders-with-denim-shorts look) or how they would carry themselves in public (like my mom’s outdoor voice “whisper”), but now that I think about it, they weren’t all that bad. I mean, it’s not like they jumped on couches on national television or wore a vile of blood around their neck to proclaim their love for another.
I mean, sure there are things that our own parents embarrass us with (or even how we conduct ourselves that probably embarrass our kids), but it’s not like we’ve ever appeared on an episode of the Jersey Shore doing a cartwheel sans panties or flipped a table on someone and then have the entire country talk about it for weeks to come. As we all know, celebrities have done some pretty embarrassing and awkward things on camera and at least we can breathe a sigh of relief that we’re not nearly as crazy as they are.

The National Enquirer is concerned about the welfare of the Jolie-Pitt kids once again, as they report that the children are “hooked on junk food” and have apparently never heard of vegetables.

My husband recently quit smoking after lighting up for well over half his life.
It was rough going. So I know (second-hand) how hard it can be to kick the habit. His main motivating factor was our children. Our daughter, Violet, is 3 and Henry just turned 1-year-old. Serge realized that if he quit now Violet will never remember him smoking. Won’t necessarily even know he was a smoker unless we tell her. It’s been three months.
My point is, I married a smoker. So I’m not rounding up these moms who smoke in some effort to shame them. Is pointing out someone as a smoker a mean thing to do? I don’t think so but I don’t know. I just find it fascinating to see how far some celebs go to maintain some sort of “clean” image to the public. We’ve done moms who smoke lists before here on Babble, but I think a lot of the women on this list will surprise you. There are some obvious smokers like Uma Thurman who has never really hidden the fact that she lights up and then you have secret smokers like Katie Holmes. A photo of Suri’s mom holding a cigarette is nearly as rare as spotting Courtney Love without one.
It interests me that many of the moms you’re about to see smoke in front of their kids. I find it fascinating that they don’t want the public seeing them smoke but they have no problem lighting up in front of the kids when for most people, my husband included, it’s the other way around. He’d smoke in public but always hid the habit from Violet. He absolutely never wanted her to see him smoke.
The other thing that struck me after compiling this list is that it seems like everyone smokes. In fact, after seeing photos of Oscar winners Julia Roberts (lighting up on set with husband Danny Moder), Sandra Bullock (lighting up on set) and new mom Charlize Theron (smoking on the street) I feel compelled to create a list of 20 Moms Who Don’t Smoke. For the record Bullock and Roberts have said they quit.

Shiloh Jolie-Pitt made funny faces out a boat window.
Angelina Jolie has quite the handful with her daughters Shiloh and Zahara Jolie-Pitt.
As we’ve said before, the Jolie-Pitt kids are a lot to handle, and a recent boat ride in Amsterdam proves that point.
Shiloh and Zahara could be seen making funny faces out the window, playing with their food, and even shoving each other away to get the attention of the paparazzi!
