With Sarah Michelle Gellar currently shooting the first season of Ringer, husband Freddie Prinze Jr. is getting some valuable daddy time at home with their daughter Charlotte.

“He loves it. We fight over who gets to stay home,” Gellar told Us Weekly Wednesday of her stay-at-home husband. “You’d think it would be the opposite, that the parents would be like, ‘No, I’ll go to work!’ but he’s like, ‘You stayed home for two years! It’s my turn!’”

“He and Charlotte have too much fun,” added Gellar.

34-year-old Gellar says that it can be a bit difficult to balance a career with motherhood. ”It’s hard to see Charlotte’s little face when you say you have to go to work. It’s sad!” Gellar, who gave birth in September 2009, told Us Weekly. “But you make time for everything. You work it out.”

Which role would you prefer? A career or stay-at-home parent?
