LL Cool J’s Moving Tribute to Whitney Houston: What Did He Say?

The Grammy Awards this year isn’t just a celebration of the music of the last year, the hits, the ballads, and the songs that moved us, it will be a celebration of the one and only Whitney Houston.
And right out of the gate the topic of Whitney Houston was addressed my host LL Cool J. Really, how could he not?
“There’s no way around this,” LL Cool J said, addressing the very quiet audience. “We’ve had a death in our family, and so at least for me – for me – the only thing that feels right is to begin with a prayer for a woman we loved, for our fallen sister, Whitney Houston.”
“Whitney, we will always love you,” he continued. “And we’ll remember you the best way we know how – with a song.”
The crowd at the Staples Center rose for a standing ovation, at that moment a video of her – in her heyday – singing her hit “I Will Always Love You” played. And yes, tears were shed.

But she was doing drugs before Bobby came along now and then but I think He turned her on to his style of getting high.. I was working at a bank in Georgia. whitney had two account s and booby had one every day money was coming out of her accoutn and put into bobby’s because of his irreponsible use of their account. I tried to use the studio he woned in Georgia. boby’s fater was there. They were so much into getting high they could bother with the 1500.00 for the session that day. and fact has it they were going broke. They weren’t even booked the day I went sitting around just gettin high.Bobby wasn’t there but the rest of them were.People don’t realize after so many performances and recording sessions and interviews your voice doesn’t have a automatic fix like a car.it can give out.
