Jillian Michaels has been matched with a little girl to adopt.

Biggest Loser trainer Jillian Michaels has dreamed of being a parent for quite some time, and now it looks as though she is one step closer to being a mom.

After initially starting the adoption process over a year ago in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Jillian has now found her future child in a little girl she met while visiting orphanages on the Caribbean island of Haiti.

Jillian told Access Hollywood, “I’ve been matched with a little girl. I went over to visit orphanages and I ended up falling in love with this little girl, and by the grace of God, I got matched up with her.”

Jillian may have her match, but she still has quite a ways to go in the adoption process. She added, “I now have to get her home … it could take up to a year to get her home. Anything can happen and fall through or fall apart, so it’s kind of premature for me to say it, but that’s where it’s at.”

I can’t even begin to imagine how gut-wrenching it must be to know that you have found your child, but not be able to have her come live with you right away. Jillian joins a whole host of courageous parents who have been through the same experience. The process is definitely not for the faint of heart, but if anyone is in it for the long haul, it’s Jillian Michaels.
