‘Survivor’ Richard Hatch Wants Reality Show Focusing On His Sperm Donor Children
Former Survivor Richard Hatch just got a whole lot more creepy.
The former reality star is seeking to take part in an all-new reality program focused on his sperm donor children. Yes, you read that right.
Before returning to prison on unpaid tax charges, Hatch claims he met a 22-year-old biological son who is living in New Jersey. Hatch said he met the man, whom he identified only as Devin, through the Sibling Donor Registry, which helps connect donors and children. They took a DNA test to confirm their genetic ties.
And another donor child, 22-year-old Emily, visited him while in prison.
“It was additionally challenging to be wrongfully imprisoned knowing that these children were coming forward,” Hatch said. “I told the court that beforehand. I explained this is a fascinating time in my life when I was at a place where I wanted to get to know these people who are my children who have come forward and want to get to know me.”
Richard also wants to bring to light the relationships between donors and their offspring, in the form of this television show.
“The offspring want connections with their biological donors because of all kinds of varying reasons from health to emotional to whatever they are,” said Hatch.
Would you be interested in watching a reality show based on donors and their offspring? Is it compelling enough to bring in the ratings?
