Not grumpy: Brad Pitt

It was only a few days ago that Brad Pitt said he’s going to retire from the movie-making business to stay home and practice his fractions with his kids’ and their homework, but there’s one last thing he wants to do before retiring: play a grumpy old man.

According to Earsucker, he said, “I’m bothered less about whether the films I shoot make money. I just want them to have longevity. We all have a shelf life, and mine is coming – although there are a couple of things I’d still like to do. I am looking forward to playing a foul-mouthed grumpy old dude one day, that’s for sure.”

What’s more, Angelina Jolie’s other half says that he wants his children to appreciate the last few movies he makes, but that doesn’t mean he’ll be co-signing his name to another Kung Fu Panda film (he lets his kids’ mother do that).

He said, “I am more passionate now that I am a father. It has focused my mind on the kind of work I want to do. I think of how movies affected me when I was younger, and how they’ve stayed with me ever since. Now I want to make films the kids can see and that might stay with them. I want to make films they can be proud of.”

So what do you think: is Brad really a passionate father or has his ego gotten the best of him?
