Jessica Simpson can't wait to be pregnant again.

When you were pregnant with your first child, did you know instantly that you’d want another one down the road? I sure did. I can remember being about six-months pregnant and telling anyone who would listen that pregnancy was a piece of cake, and that I was planning on having three kids.

Fast forward to five years later and my son is an only child, and if I maintain my control over the situation, he is going to STAY an only child.

Pregnancy was easy. The major life shift that occurred after I brought my son home from the hospital, however, was not.

Jessica Simpson has finally let the cat out of the bag that she is pregnant with her first child, and she’s already insisting that she wants more babies. She told PEOPLE, “Pregnancy was meant for me – it really was. I can’t wait to have more kids. I love being pregnant. I have such an incredible connection with myself and with my body that I’ve never had before.”

I can’t help but wish that I could be a fly on the wall the first few weeks after Jessica brings her new baby home. She may not be in such a rush to get pregnant for a second time after enduring sleepless nights and dirty diapers!

While Jessica did add that pregnancy is a “spiritual thing,” she also offered an explanation for why women get “pregnancy glow.” She said, ”People always say that pregnant women have a glow. And I say it’s because you’re sweating to death. I think they just tell pregnant women they’re glowing to make them feel good about themselves, because everything makes them a little bit emotional.”

Jessica believes that she and her baby daddy, Eric Johnson, are going to do just fine as far as the whole parenting thing goes. She said, ”Eric is very, very supportive. We’re both extremely excited. He’s been to every doctor’s appointment with me. We just love it. We can’t believe we get to do this, and we get to do it together. We’re going to be a rock star family!”

Again, I’d love to be a fly on the wall during their first few weeks with a newborn. Something tells me that they won’t exactly feel like rock stars. Then again, maybe Jess and Eric will prove me wrong!
