Sweet poem. And quite good for a child. I love when my kids write me poems.

How old is Mady? My kids wrote poems like that when they were in Grade one. I found the poem to be sad. The fact that Mady says you gave me life sounds to me that Kate has been constantly reminding her of that. I can just hear Kate, “Don’t talk back to me Mady, I gave you life.” or “Don’t fail in school Mady, remember who gave birth to you.” I feel sorry for those kids. Kate has royaly screwed them up.

typical…that stupid poem is all about KHATE. that witch manages to inject her narcissistic self into every possible thing…her kids even feel the need to have to make HER the subject of their creative work…sad.

I can’t believe the heartless things an adult would say about a child expressing her love and respect to her mom in a poem. And the fact that someone would turn a mothers name into hate. Appearently those only possessed by the green eyed monster.
Kate you are a great mother, you have wonderful values and you are raising you children to become thoughtful, caring and productive members of society. I admire you as I have been watching all your episodes on Netflix. It’s hard being a mom of just 2 children seeing you with 8 I fully understand how you felt. I also saw the love you showed Jon and I saw Jon’s inability to recepacate his love back to you. The writing was on the wall and I saw that it was you who carried the brunt of the responsibility of the work raising your family. If it wasn’t for your organizational ability to plan ahead things would not have gone so smoothly. And the best reward for all your hard work is when those praise you on how well behaved your children are. Kids are never perfect in any stressfull situation, there are always going to be issues. Keep up the good work and your blessings are going to continue to come your way you have a really great heart.
