In Touch Weekly Asks: Is Angelina Jolie Using Her Children For Publicity? (Photos)

Another day, another Brangelina rumor.
If you haven’t already figured out, the editors at In Touch Weekly are so Team Aniston. Which, to this blogger, is so 2007.
The new issue of the gossip mag suggests that the Hollywood mother-of-six is using her children for her own publicity.
The article says Oscar-winning actress Angelina staged two photo-ops with her children in London last week in order for the headlines to shift away from Brad Pitt’s negative comments about his marriage to ex-wife Jennifer Aniston.
As Angelina and celebrity mom Gwen Stefani have been best friends for years, it was only last week did the world get a glimpse of their friendship as the paparazzi caught Angie and her kids leaving Gwen’s London home after a fun-filled play date, which the mag suggests was staged.
Also, the day after the world’s most powerful play date took place Ang took her two oldest daughters Zahara and Shiloh out to get their ears pierced, which according to the mag, were two very similar yet separate attempts to steal the spotlight after the media belly flopped all over Brad’s earlier comments about Jennifer in Parade magazine.
The mag writes about the two outings, “We must congratulate the star on a perfectly coordinated counterattack: If anything has the ability to push the Brad-Jen saga off the (metaphorical) front page, it’s Brad and Angelina’s gorgeous kids!”
For starters, we highly doubt Angelina has the time to read gossip magazines while juggling her career, motherhood, and humanitarian efforts around the world.
Second, it’s about time we’ve moved on from this subject, don’t you think ITW?
What do you think? Are tabloid magazines being a little too harsh on Angelina each time she steps out with her kids? Or do you think they have a point and that the Jolie-Pitt outtings are staged?

She’s done nothing worth while in years (Since ‘Girl, Interrupted’ back in 1999 to be aprroximate) and yet people want to know about her? Man stealing, family crushing, hussey? Woah… Good morals y’all have, if you look up to her then I weep for you. Oh, wait no I dont… That’d be a waste
GetAClue commented on Oct 05 11 at 6:07 pmAnybody who believes the paps just happened to be hanging around outside Stefani’s house waiting for a glimpse is being played for a fool. Those pics were taken by Jolie’s personal bodyguard/photographer and supplied to the tabs with her permission, as are most of the pics we see of her.
pk commented on Oct 05 11 at 9:21 pmYes of course they’re staged. I thought that was established years ago in a well documented NY Times article. The well respected journalist (NOT a tabloid journo) nearly lost his job over it when People Magazine demanded an apology to AJ for suggesting (among other things) that a “special” deal had been struck with the magazine enabling Brangelina to tightly control all contents about them. The managing editor demanded to see the journalist’s three sources, but being a seasoned pro he refused. However he was proved right. One of a number of conditions was that they forever drop the moniker “Brangelina.” They did.
And think about it. Why rent an flat in Venice with a balcony facing a public square where paps could have easy access to them, kiddies and all? It would make no sense for people who have far more options that most could ever hope for if they did NOT want maximum exposure.

How do they manage to go places unnoticed WHEN THEY WANT to, then other times they get “harassed by the paps. oh please, dont insult our intelligence. but another question, why still buy into all of this? i look to see just when they are going to trip up and by the look of things, Bradley is already slipping his clutch …. tst tst
