Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell each take home an Emmy Award.
Modern Family stars Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell were the first actors to take home an Emmy Award on Sunday (Sept. 18).
Bowen won for Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Comedy Series while Burrell took home the award for Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Comedy Series.
It looks like Modern Family may sweep the night away as the series won for Outstanding Directing and Outstanding Writing as well.
