Ron Artest NOW Metta World Peace!

Lakers star Ron Artest changed his name. And not to anything like Smith, Jones or Jackson. He changed his name to Metta World Peace. Legally. Yes, he will now be known at Mr. World Peace.

In Los Angeles a judge granted Artest’s legal petition to change his name on Friday. But the big question? Will his kids have to change their name too?

Ron Artest has three children with Kimsha Artest (who stars on VH1s’s reality hit Basketball Wives: LA) names Sadie, Ron III and Diamond.  Could they now go by the names Sadie World Peace, Ron World Peace III and Diamond World Peace? Let’s hope they just stick with their original name of Artest, they don’t need that extra teasing at school!

What do you think of Ron Artest’s new name?
