Brad Pitt: Quote Slamming Jennifer Aniston Misunderstood
If you thought Brad Pitt was slamming Jennifer Aniston in a new Parade magazine interview, think again.
Yes, he appeared to refer to his marriage with Jennifer Aniston as uninteresting, but seems his words were misinterpreted.
In the Parade interview, Pitt says: “It became very clear to me that I was intent on trying to find a movie about an interesting life, but I wasn’t living an interesting life myself. I think that my marriage (to Aniston) had something to do with it. Trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn’t.”
Pitt’s quote about Jennifer Aniston lit up websites yesterday, but it appears we’ve got it all wrong.
Brad Pitt’s rep issued the following statement:
“It grieves me that this was interpreted this way. Jen is an incredibly giving, loving, and hilarious woman who remains my friend. It is an important relationship I value greatly. The point I was trying to make is not that Jen was dull, but that I was becoming dull to myself — and that, I am responsible for.”
Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston were married in 2000 and divorced in 2005. Perhaps all the gushing about Angelina Jolie just made the quote about Aniston seem that much worse?
Given this clarification, is Brad Pitt back in your good graces?
Choose your words carefully, Brad!

Never mind, I’m sure Jen appreciates having a fistful of muckery thrown in her direction, after all it’s bound to help her ratings, unless of course it doesn’t…
