Are You Annoyed or Envious of Celeb Moms Post Baby Body Photos?
Are you annoyed as much as I am by celeb moms’ post-baby body photos?
I myself am guilty of writing about celebrity moms who’ve lost their baby weight. I find it quite annoying that some of these women drop the weight so damn quickly!
“Oh, she’s just jealous.” Maybe I am a little envious but I’m also perplexed.
Have you seen Victoria Beckham? The woman looks as slim as ever and she gave birth to Harper Seven nine weeks ago.
She showed off her post-baby body in a pink and black shift dress from her newly launched label, Victoria by Victoria Beckham, which she debuted at New York Fashion Week. She does NOT look like she just had a baby.
And it’s not like she delivered a tiny baby either – Harper weighed 7 lbs. 10 oz. at birth.
It’s in the genes, you say?
Jessica Alba is already looking back to normal herself. Ivanka Trump is looking smokin’ a month after giving birth. And Mariah Carey has been working out like a fiend to drop the baby weight. Miranda Kerr… that’s a whole other post!
Is there really that much pressure in Hollywood for women to be a certain size? Yes. Isn’t there some leeway for new mothers? Apparently not.
Should we be envying these women or telling them to slow down? I know they are celebs, but really, isn’t there much more to focus on after just having a baby than looking good?
What do you think – do photos of celeb moms post baby body make moms feel bad?

Honestly, I don’t envy them at all. They have to function and mother in a realm that is intensely critical and superficial. Their bodies and lives are constantly judged, photographed and objectified.
Ugh. How many photos have we seen of cellulite on the front covers of mags at the supermarket check-out? And photos of perfectly normal bellies speculating about whether one celeb/starlet or another is three months along?I think we should send them each a sandwich and a sympathy card.

How SAD is it that the women can’t ENJOY the miracle they’re experiencing and are more concerned with getting their pre-baby bodies back?! They should be spending their time with these amazing little. people they’ve waited 9 months to meet..instead of their trainers and treadmills. It’s like they’re more concerned with being HOT moms then GOOD ones.
lala commented on Sep 19 11 at 7:56 pmThey take care of themselves DURING pregnancy. You don’t have to gain 100lbs to ENJOY your pregnancy. And you don’t have to take up bad eating and exercise habits just because you had/are having a baby. Women are encouraged to eat well and work out during their pregnancies. If you stay within the recommended amount of weight gain, your weight will also come off immediately after pregnancy. I had two babies back to back and I don’t look like I had any at all. I took great care of my body before and after. It CAN be done without neglecting your little ones. I’m tired of hearing women blame their overweight bodies on pregnancy. Maybe women should stop worrying about feeding the celebs and start worrying about putting down that double cheeseburger and fries.
