Kate Gosselin Today Show: Kate Plus 8 Cancellation Devastating, Calls Jon “Mediocre”

Kate Gosselin graced the Today show with her presence – yet again – this morning, talking about the Kate Plus 8 cancellation and how devastating it is for her kids and the fans.

When Kate was last on Today, she didn’t think they’d be cancelled, but notes this time that “It was not a surprise” because of ratings and “everything else.”
Is it back to a normal life for Kate? Gosselin said there’s “some relief, but there is sadness: “I feel sad for my kids because of all the opportunities, they’re now questioning what’s going to happen.”
Gosselin added that fans are “devastated.”
It’s not the last we’ve seen of Kate, as she assures us that it’s the start of her career and the way she’s provided for her kids for six years, so it’s a little scary.
Ex-husband Jon Gosselin is very relieved that the kids will be away from the cameras.
Her response? “Jon may be accepting of mediocre for his kids and working a regular job… I want the best for my kids and the best opportunities.” SLAM!
Kate says she would do another reality show if it was “the right one” and notes that she wants to continue in TV.
As for the RV pizza meltdown we last saw on Kate Plus 8, Gosselin explains the stress of the trip and says, “I’ve apologized immensely and I love them” (of Ashley and Jamie).
