Keanu Reeves Wants to Direct – Should Try Kids Movie

keanu Keanu Reeves Wants to Direct Should Try Kids MovieBirthday Boy Keanu Reeves is 47 today, and looking for the next stage in his career. He’s set his sights on directing and is already slated to direct The Matrix and The Main of Tai Chi.  (It doesn’t hurt that he’s also the star) But what if Keanu wanted to try something totally different? Like direct a kids movie? Does it seem ridiculous that a reclusive star might work well with kids? I’m not saying Keanu has said he wants to work with kids, but maybe he should consider it.  I know he’s good with kids.  I’ve seen it with my own eyes. I can vouch for him –  he’d be an incredible celebrity babysitter.

This was the scene.  Keanu was trying to rush past a group of fans (nothing new there), when he saw a little girl and her mom trying to see him.  So he stopped. Took the time to talk with them, took a picture, and even shard his CHEEZ-ITs.  (He carried the box from his car).

See what I mean about celebrity babysitter?  He can talk to kids on their level, make them feel special, and even bring snacks! (Sure, he’s a little scruffy, but think we can look past that). I was struck that Keanu would make a good dad (sadly, his only child was stillborn), or at the very least, one day a great director on a kids movie.  We know kids love him, he was nominated for a Kids Choice Award, and won a bunch of MTV Movie Awards.   Plus, Keanu has all  sorts of real life experience that might make it easier to relate to kids.  He’s the child of divorce, started working at nine, has dyslexia, and bounced around a lot of schools.  And who could make a funnier kids movie than the star of  Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure?
