January Jones plays the ideal 1960′s housewife on Mad Men. Fans of the show realize by now that all is not what it seems when it comes to Betty Draper. It appears the same can be said of the actress who plays her, January Jones.
This summer we’ve begun to see a glimpse of the icy exteriored January Jones, who is expecting her first child this fall. While the details of the pregnancy are sketchy (we still don’t who who the daddy is), her maternity style is the casual counterpoint to Betty Draper’s buttoned down style. Rather than go with classic shirt dresses, January prefers casual yoga wear and jeans. Her closet skips over the bland a boring and leans to the bright and bold.
It seems that January Jones may be able to pick up some pointers from her on-screen persona when it comes to parenting. Her on-screen son has opted to leave the show and has offered some pointers to his replacement, “”Be careful around January [Jones]. She’s not as approachable as the others. She’s really serious about what she does. Everyone else is so nice.”
Hmmm…. if her tv son finds January Jones a bit on the icy side, she may want to try warming up her style a bit before her real life little one arrives the fall!
