Kate Gosselin: I Want ‘Kate Plus 8′ To Run Through My Kids’ High School Years
Whether or not you’re a fan of Kate Gosselin and her brood, the mom of eight isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. In fact, if it’s up to Kate herself, the show would run all the way through the kids’ high school years!
Just last week, TLC laid out its brand new fall schedule to the attention of many, Kate Plus 8 was nowhere to be found. Rumors of its cancellation erupted soon after. But, Gosselin appeared on the Today show this morning in lieu of promoting the all new season of Kate Plus 8 that airs tonight on TLC. And she claims the rumor of a cancellation is news to her.
“There is a lot of talk about it, and nobody’s told me,” Gosselin told Today show co-host Ann Curry.
“We’re happy to continue on and we will do so as long as people are watching. There’s been a lot of fans and supporters who have continued to watch us through good and through bad and I just have to take this opportunity to say thank you and we’ll still be on TV as long as you’re watching us.”
So how far into the future does Kate see reality cameras in her life?
Kate told Ann Curry she could envision the series going well into 10-year-old twins Cara and Mady, as well as 7-year-old sextuplets Aaden, Alexis, Collin, Hannah, Joel, and Leah’s high school years.
“Gosh, that will be a show! I might be dead by then… gosh, teenagers, I don’t even want to talk about it. [But] I do. I mean the kids and I are still having a lot of fun,” she said.
Would you continue watching Kate Plus 8 for years to come?
