Dolly Parton doesn't regret not having kids.
Musical legend Dolly Parton may have a lot of things in her life, but children is not one of them. And the 65-year-old entertainer is content with that.
Married to Carl Dean since 1966, people often ask the owner of Dollywood if she feels like she gave a lot up to have the career she has obtained.
But Parton sees it this way. “I wanted to make music in my career because I wanted to travel and have clothes and things for my people. People always ask me if it’s worth what I’ve sacrificed and it absolutely is. I’ve gone through a lot. You give up a lot to make it and I did but I don’t have any regrets. I would have liked to have had children but it wasn’t meant to be.”
Maybe if Parton has just gone ahead and kept that baby, she’d be a mother and have a her career! Oh, Jolene, where are you?
