Most days, I go back and forth on whether or not I think it would be fun to be a celebrity. On one hand, traveling by private jet, being able to shop till I drop without even glancing at price tags, and having lavish homes all over the world seems like a pretty sweet deal. But on the flip side of the coin, it would be kind of a bummer if I couldn’t go out for dinner with my husband and son without having cameras flashing in my face.
I guess part of the deal with being a celebrity is that you are subjected to having every single moment of your life caught on film. Some celebs are definitely more high profile than others. In fact, some of them are pretty much prisoners of the paparazzi.
Matt Damon recently told PEOPLE that his friends, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, really couldn’t lead a normal life even if they wanted to. He said, ”They can’t just go someplace. If they go for a walk, it turns into an international incident.”
Matt hit the nail right on the head as far as the Jolie-Pitts go. Neither Brad nor Angie can so much as talk to a member of the opposite sex without an affair rumor being started. And their six children are hounded constantly by photographers as well. Those kids will probably never know what it’s like to enjoy a day out with mom and dad without cameras lurking near by.
