Alicia Keys still proudly wears short-shorts!

Summer is fully underway, and plenty of us are stepping out in shorts and sundresses in the hopes of beating the heat. Summer clothes are pretty comfortable, but for a lot of us, baring our bodies in shorts and bathing suits comes with a nasty side effect…the dreaded phenomenon of cellulite!

Honestly, is there anything worse than cellulite? It is the one thing that can pretty much ruin any summer outfit, no matter how cute your duds are.

So many times I look at celebrity moms on the cover of magazines with their super-smooth thighs and wonder how they managed to escape picking up one single dimple over the years. Even though in the back of my head I know that those pictures are airbrushed, I still can’t help but feel a little bit jealous of the fact that they don’t have cottage cheese pouring out of their shorts.

As it turns out, magazine covers are incredibly deceiving, because plenty of celebrity moms are plagued by cellulite just like us. From models, to A-list actresses, to women who work out and eat right 100% of the time, famous mamas are not exempt from the lumps and bumps that seem to show up in all the wrong places.

After looking through several photos of celebrity moms with cellulite, I have to say that I feel a whole lot better about the dimples that are visible on my legs right now. It is so refreshing to see that they really do have the same body problems as regular moms like me do.

If the most gorgeous women in the world can still hold their heads high and be proud of their bodies, dimples and all, then I can too. Maybe we can call cellulite the hot new trend for summer 2011?

I swear, most of these were photo shopped. And very badly, I might add.

I couldn’t find the cellulite on several of these women… A little wishful thinking in your Schadenfreude, perhaps?

Disgusting. These women are not “plagued” by bumps and dimples. This is just asinine.

I think Babble should spend more time on positive & informative articles and leave the photoshopped rumors to the cheap magazines at grocery store chekouts that no one in the right mind ever buys…

There is nothing wrong with any of these women. They have normal, natural bodies. We are just so used to being lied to with Photoshop that tabloids try to “shock” us by showing a supermodel with a little cellulite. Nobody here is shocked or disgusted, and just an FYI, dimples and cellulite are not a “plague”.
