Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick with the kids

Sarah Jessica Parker and husband Matthew Broderick don’t need any help with the kids, thank you very much.

Sarah Jessica shares in the August issue of Vogue that she and Matthew are hands-on parents, not employing nannies or other helpers to raise their three kids.

Parker notes, “We don’t have any live-in help. We’re pretty hands-on parents. That’s something that’s important to both of us, and we don’t shirk it, because what’s the point in having a family if you’re not going to really participate in it, you know?”

Okay, while I applaud their desire to be hands-on and involved with their kids – and clearly they are photographed taking the kids to school and other outings (see photos below) – you have to question if the lack of “live-in help” doesn’t still mean they have folks that help out. A babysitter, maid or assistant? They are celebrities, after all!

In the Vogue issue, Sarah Jessica Parker also talks about her decision to leave her TV series because of the kids, sharing, “I loved it. But I ultimately chose to stop doing the television series because I felt like it required, and deserved, a lot of time when I really wanted to be a parent.”

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick have an 8-year-old son, James Wilkie, and 2-year-old twin daughters, Loretta and Tabitha.

I read the article and she says she does employ a nanny for the twins. Also she has someone who helps coordinate her son’s schedule. You must have missed that part.
