David and Victoria have added a daughter to their clan

If you thought David and Victoria Beckham named their daughter after a popular fashion bible, well, we did too.  If your second thought was that they named her after a famous American writer, that guess was wrong as well.

So how did the Beckham family come up with daughter Harper’s first name?

Well, let’s all put our thinking caps away because it looks like the most famous Beckham to date (move over, Victoria) was named after a character on “The Wizards of Waverly Place.”  Sources close to the couple say their three boys – Brooklyn, Cruz, and Romeo – are all huge fans of the popular Disney Channel kids’ show and picked out the name Harper, who is a character on the show.

While it’s true that Victoria initially loved the name Harper, it’s the boys who were fixated on the name.

On “Wizards of Waverly Place,” Harper is played by actress Jennifer Stone while co-star Selena Gomez plays Alex.

In addition, it’s been revealed that David has read the book series based on the popular Disney show to his three sons when they were younger.

As far as Harper’s middle name, Seven, those that guessed the name came from daddy David’s soccer number during his Manchester United days were right.
