Denise Richards kept quiet about her daughter's adoption.

Denise Richards pulled a fast one and proved to us all that she is smarter than she looks. Richards recently announced that she had adopted a baby girl from the United States, unbeknownst to the outside world.

As a celebrity, pulling off a monumental act like this, without the knowledge of the media is unheard of. Unless of course you’re name is Sandra Bullock.

According to a source, Denise chose to keep the adoption of her third daughter “extremely quiet,” adding that the process “has obviously been going on for quite some time.”

So why did she finally come clean about the big news? ”At some point, they wanted to leave the house!” the source says, adding, “The whole family is thrilled. Denise is a fabulous mother and the girls are great big sisters.”

Denise already had two daughters, Sam, 7, and Lola, 6, with ex-husband Charlie Sheen.

All that can be said is: Well done, Denise. Well done.
