Just months after Owen Wilson’s girlfriend Jade Duell gave birth, the couple are reportedly splitsville.
Owen shocked everyone when he announced he was becoming a dad – just days before son Robert Ford was born five months ago.
The National Enquirer reports that Wilson refused to commit to Duell and plunged into a downward spiral after she moved to New York with their infant son.
“He cries all day and blames himself for ruining his life again. He loves his son Robert more than anything, and he’s kicking himself for not giving his relationship with Jade enough time,” the source said.
Sounds like Jade, 29, will be taking care of their son full-time. Jade gave birth to their son on January 14 at Owen’s home in Maui.
Why did they split?
“Owen wanted the freedom to do what he wanted with his friends, both male and female, while remaining a family unit with Jade and the baby,” the source added. “But Jade wasn’t willing to go along with that, so Owen decided to end things with her instead of cheating behind her back.”
Are these reports true? Apparently Owen was seen partying with women weeks after his son was born… did he not want to commit to being with Jade and his son?
In any case, family members are reportedly concerned for Owen - his last break-up didn’t end well and he has a history of trying to commit suicide. After breaking up with ex Kate Hudson, Owen overdosed on and slashed his wrists.
“With his history of suicide attempts, his family is terrified to leave him alone. They’ve rallied around him at his Malibu estate,” the source added.

Because Owen was in NY on Wednesday and Thursday of this week, then flew back to L.A. Thursday night and was in Santa Monica on Friday.
So according to your post, you must have seen them in both NY AND L.A.
OR, maybe you didn’t see them at all and just THOUGHT that you did?
