Gwyneth Paltrow’s Daughter Apple Got Ears Pierced: What Age Would You Allow Earrings?
Gwyneth Paltrow’s daughter Apple got her ears pierced two years ago!
The actress revealed that Apple, 7, wanted to have her ears pierced for a long time – three years of pleading with her parents.
When Apple was 5-years-old, Gwyneth finally gave in to her daughter’s request.
“We’re strict with them to an extent but we also try to be respectful of who they are and work with them when they really want something. For instance, Apple had been wanting to get her ears pierced from the age of two,” Gwyneth recalled.
Gwyneth said that she husband Chris Martin refused at first. But after three years of asking and waiting for Apple to be older, they finally allowed her.
Apple was also influenced by Spanish culture.
“Our nanny is Spanish, so the kids both speak Spanish and are very much connected to the Spanish culture, and in Spain little girls get their ears pierced when they’re born,” the actress explained in an interview with British Ok! magazine.
“Apple would see little Spanish girls and says, ‘Why can’t I have my ears pierced too.’ When she was five we let her have her ears pierced.”
When would you allow your daughter to get her ears pierced?
