Melissa Joan Hart talks about her involvement with Feed The Children and the possibility of a 'Clarissa Explains It All' reunion movie.

Whether you remeber her as Clarissa from Clarissa Explains It All or Sabrina of Sabrina, The Teenage Witch, Melissa Joan Hart is back in our living rooms with a second season of her current ABC Family hit Melissa & Joey. On top of reigning supreme in the television world once again, Hart sat down with Famecrawler exclusively, and talked about having more babies as well as a Clarissa reunion!

Here is an excerpt from our interview:

CR: Now that you have two boys, Mason and Brady, did you find it more difficult to take on a new television series? And how is it different from your previous experiences?

MJH: You know, I was able to take them with me a lot. But now we’ve found a home in Connecticut and we’re really settled there. We’ve made great friends and they have great schools. So, it’s hard for me to drag them away from there. It’s really a lot harder on me because I’m away from them more now. But, I’m so lucky. I have such a great husband. He is a fantastic father. We have a wonderful nanny. It’s hurting me a little bit, but my boys are okay.

CR: What are your diet or fitness secrets?

MJH: You know, it changes everyday. I do a lot of protein shakes to try and stay in shape with my diet. I try to eat really clean. And I try to get enough sleep. That’s pretty important with keeping your weight balanced – drink a lot of water. I do everything from rowing, to spinning, to hot yoga. I’ve really enjoyed mixing it up and doing different things.

CR: Speaking of nutrition, let’s talk about your involvement with Feed The Children. Can you tell me a little about that?

MJH: Beech-nut has partnered up with Feed The Children. Right now, 1 in 4 children are waking up hungry in the US. People think this is happening all over the world in third world countries. No one realizes it’s happening here in our own country. That’s an unacceptable statistic to me. Beech-nut has started a jar for jar program where you can simply go on their Facebook page. You click on a virtual jar of baby food, and you can send that virtual jar to all your friends and family. For every virtual jar you send, Beech Nut will send a real jar to Feed The Children and we’re hoping to send out 1,000,000 jars of baby food out into the country this year.

CR: What’s your favorite thing about being a mother?

MJH: I keep a journal of all the funny things they say or do. And it’s so wonderful to go back and read those pages. My favorite moments are when I pick them up from school – when I show up and they just go “Mommy!”

CR: Would you ever consider a Clarissa Explains It All reunion movie?

MJH: I get this question everyday on Twitter! I just think that ship has sailed. I am too old to be playing that.
