Jennifer Garner Interview: Jen Teams Up With Frigidaire To Encourage Healthy Eating Habits in Kids (Video)
Jennifer Garner kicks off Frigidaire's Kids' Cooking Academy Summer Session
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of hopping in a car and heading out to a little town called Pocantico Hills, NY to interview the lovely Jennifer Garner! Jennifer has teamed up with Frigidaire as their brand ambassador to launch their Kids Cooking Academy Summer Session, which encourages healthy eating habits in kids by getting them involved in cooking with farm fresh foods.
As a busy mom to daughters Violet and Seraphina, Jen knows first hand just how tough it can be to get kids to eat their fruits and veggies. By picking fresh produce together and taking her girls to local Farmer’s Markets, she has gotten them much more interested in healthy eating, and she passed her tips along to other local parents yesterday.
A group of bloggers and their kids from the Northeast enjoyed a day on the farm with Jennifer. Together, they picked some yummy foods straight from the ground, and then headed inside to do a little cooking together with Chef Adam Kaye!
Here are some photos of Garner and the kids. The little brown haired boy in the first couple of shots was the cutest thing ever…he couldn’t stop eating fresh squash, carrots, and berries throughout the entire event! I wouldn’t mind him teaching my son some tips, that’s for sure!

To make it easier for people to find local Farmer’s Markets, Frigidaire has teamed up with GoWalla, which is a check-in application for mobile devices. Users of GoWalla can share their tips with others about the best places to find farm fresh produce in their own local area. As an added bonus to using GoWalla, Frigidaire will donate $1 per Farmer’s Market check-in to Save the Children, as part of a $500,000 initiative to the charity.
