Of all the Real Housewives shows, The Real Housewives of Orange County has the tackiest clothing hand down.
Real Housewives of New York City is all chic and stylish. Real Houswives of Atlanta has had their share of bad outfits, but fares better than Orange County. Real Housewives of Washington D.C. was pretty conservative. Real Housewives of Miami brought some sizzle. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills may be close to Orange County but are thousands of miles away in terms of fashion. And even the big hair and sequins of The Real Housewives of New Jersey have Orange County beat in terms of stylish outfits…and that’s saying a lot.
So what makes moms – Alexis Bellino, Peggy Tanous, Tamra Barney and Vicki Gunvalson – of the The Real Housewives of Orange County have the worst mom style of all the Real Housewives shows?
The Real Housewives of Orange County – more than the others – work their outfits around the boobs. Their very large, very fake boobs. They wear skin tight bodices and plunging necklines. And when they pair that with super short skirts and sky high heels, they look more like strippers than soccer moms. Now there is nothing wrong with not looking like a soccer mom. But with the bleach blonde locks and the spray on tans, their beauty is no longer natural but completely manufactured. And throw in the Botox, the lip injections and other little nips and tucks, and they journey farther and farther away from what they would have naturally looked like.
On the season finale of The Real Housewives of Orange County, there was a scene where Alexis was getting ready for a party. She didn’t have her over the top make-up on and was just in causal clothes, and you know what? She looked so much better than when she has tons of blush, mascara and black eyeliner on. It made me want to see how they all would look if they weren’t all made up.

As intelligent women we should find a classic to read, spend quality time with our children, talk to our husbands or simply have quiet time or take a class! It would be better use of our time than watching these over-indulged, plastic surgery barbie-dolls.

Shellz commented on Jun 07 11 at 7:15 pmPeggy is the worst dressed by far, the outfit she wore when they went to the shooting range on one of the earlier episodes was so tacky. She also looked like the joker on the finale at Vicki’s party with that pale makeup and extremely dark eyeliner and mascara. And her outfit on last nights watch what happens live took the cake, why did she even bother putting on clothes….older women trying desperately to look young really works against them. I think alexis legs are waay to long for the itty bitty shorts and skirts she wears, and I think if she tones down her look a bit, she might actually look her age. Tamra is always trying to show boobs, we get it…you have large, round fake boobs, now can we move on. it amazes me that these women put so much effort and money into enhancing their breast size and they fail to realize how unproportioned they have made their bodies. they now have this well enhanced upper body and neglect the bottom portion of their bodies. …who wants large boobs with a flat ass, you don’t need a big donkey butt, but you do need a little cushion and these women have none. and Gretchen has the best style out of all of the ladies.

This article makes a good point and mirrors my own thoughts as I watched the finale. I thought that Tamra and Peggy look like over the hill, cheap hookers with their heavy makeup, thin bleached-to-death hair and fake boobs. Peggy looked almost cadaverous in the white makeup, cold and unappealing. No woman I know aspires to look like either of them. My husband thinks they looked, as he put it, “kind of skanky”.
Matching her looks to a tee, Tamra’s behavior was tacky, tasteless and trashy. She seems like a boozy broad whose native territory is a strip mall. I feel sorry for her kids, particularly her daughters who have such a cheap looking, mean spirited woman as their role model.

The lips look like “Marg Simpson lips”, hey girls if you don’t believe me look at your mouth sideview in the mirror. Most of you have dry brittle hair and so many extensions it looks like a bad toupee. You all look the same, doesn’t anyone want to be differant?
Vickie, what are you crying about, you’ve gotten what you want. Look back at the film of yourself, you have always been mean to Don. Alexis, what’s wrong with you, you are not a designer! You are putting your name on someone else’s designs. Tamara, clean yourself up. The show is gross!!!
