Brad Pitt talks parenting philosophy

Brad Pitt shares some of his parenting philosophy during the Tree of Life premiere in Los Angeles, noting that there are no similarities between the character he plays and his real life parenting techniques.

“I certainly don’t raise my kids that same way,” Pitt tells E! Online, noting, “I’m painfully aware that my actions have an indelible mark on them in these formative years.”

What’s Brad Pitt’s secret to being a great dad? “I make sure I don’t bring my crap home,” Pitt shares, saying, “I want to keep them free. I want them to explore that innocence as long as possible and find out what’s interesting to them. I just don’t want to encumber them in any way.”

Love that.

Brad Pitt also spoke about his decision to do the upcoming Happy Feet 2 in 3D – he’s doing it for his kids, of course, noting, “Happy Feet is in heavy rotation in our house so it was a must.”
