Gwen Stefani is a busy singer and mom of two.  How does she manage to stay in shape?

“It’s a daily struggle,” she tells Elle Canada magazine.

“I work out five days a week, and I can’t imagine not doing it.  I’d like to have no rules and eat what I want but…”

Oh how I wish I could eat what I want too, Gwen!  So how does she stay so disciplined?

“…I’ve learned over the years that I’m so disappointed when I can’t wear the clothes I want to.  And if I let myself down and go onstage when I’m not looking my best, it’s not fun for me – I just beat myself up about it.”

It’s really nice to hear a celebrity who admits that it’s not easy to keep up with exercise and diet!  Doesn’t she sound so normal?

How does Gwen describe her sense of style?

“I have this real masculine-feminine thing. I’m not really that sexy – I get made up and then I like to be tough.  I didn’t even wear high heels until I was in my 30s!”

I love you even more now, Gwen!

Even the way Gwen talks about her kids’ privacy, Gwen sounds like she’s very down to earth.
