Child Protective Services Still Investigating Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon. Really??
Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon still under DCFS investigation.
Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon just brought their twins, Moroccan and Monroe, home from the hospital, and they are already experiencing their first headache as new parents. While Mariah was still in the hospital, Child Protective Services was called in by nurses who claimed that there may have been some drug and alcohol use going on.
In an interview with Piers Morgan, Nick Cannon defended his wife and the situation and speculated on what may have happened. He told Piers that a nurse told Mariah, “…if you drink Guinness … the yeast improves breast-feeding. I don’t know if someone overheard that, but then they were saying that my wife was drinking beer and all this stuff.”
Cannon also added, “When I spoke to the person from the Child Protective Services, I was like, ‘This is ridiculous.’ Even to have to deal with that, even my wife in the state she’s in, and we’re in the hospital, and to even have to think of someone possibly wanting to investigate your children.”
Even though there is no evidence that Nick or Mariah did anything to put the twins in danger, a source says that the case will remain open for at least one more week. It is likely that Mariah and Nick will have a social worker visit them and the twins at their home just to make sure that the children are safe.
